New Year brings a New Business Park to Alcester

The new extension to the industrial estate at Alcester known as “Alcester Employment Park” has broken ground and its now full steam ahead in 2020 with the first phase of modern Industrial/Warehouse Units being built. The 20 acre site is a joint development between Alcester Estates & Graftongate which will provide modern Freehold and Leasehold production and warehouse units built to occupier’s requirements with optional internal offices, mezzanines and generous plot sizes. 

The land owners, Alcester Estates Ltd have teamed up with Graftongate, based locally in Henley in Arden, whom have a proven track record for delivering Industrial schemes across the UK since 2004. 
The Development is being managed by Jamie Hockaday & Marcus Phayer of Graftongate. Jamie Hockaday said “Marcus & I have been working with the landowners for the past two years and we are pleased to have now appointed the main contractors Benniman to construct the first phase of infrastructure as well as the first two large buildings. Benniman, a well-established family run business based in Bromsgrove are now on site making great inroads into the development and soon you will see the first buildings completed in June of this year”. 

The development is being marketed by Westbridge Commercial of Stratford upon Avon who have worked with the landowners for seven years through the planning process. Richard Johnson the MD of Westbridge Commercial said “I am delighted to be working with Alcester Estates & Graftongate to deliver this exciting new business park which will be a fantastic boost for Alcester and the local economy. There is a real lack of quality units in Warwickshire and the levels of interest we are receiving are very encouraging. The first two 20,000 sq ft units are now sold and under construction and due to complete in late June 2020 with a further flagship building of 36,000 following shortly afterwards. We are also busy dealing with several other design and build requirements which we are confident will be the next in line to be built in 2020. The prospects for this year are looking very positive indeed!”
